When you start to make collage cards you can introduce lots of different printed papers or self made papers to your card making. In this card I have used text paper from a book as part of the back ground. This gives your card a total different feel to it. Using black card stock and white pigment ink for the trees gives it a midnight feel.
The only thing you have to watch when using text paper is improper words in your background (or maybe you want them there!)
Let’s see who can spot the rude words.
I just think these Oddball stamps from Stamping Bella are fabulous. Great to colour in with the medium of your choice, and create funky, quirky cards that are different.
These fabulous flowers are back again. Just love them so versatile. Here I have just used the outta loopy section teamed it up with an embossing folder to create a simple yet efficient card.
Its those fabulous nail vanishes again but this time I have paper pieced them in a mat card stock but kept the colours in the pink tones. You could go over the top with your Glossy Accents or even add some sparkle to make your card different.
This great stamp set allows you to create nail vanishes cards, great for friends birthdays. Fabulous for paper piecing. Here I have teamed it up with the most sparkly paper, even the black card is sparkly. Love it.
As we continue to explore collage cards, this time I have used the text paper(no rude words this time) but added in the plain cardstock to balance out the look of the card. This makes for interesting backgrounds. The only thing you will have to watch is stamping over the lip of the card, where the bunny is. Sometimes you end up with not a good inked image because of the lip. You may have to do some penning in .
This fabulous little die allows you to create strips of die cut hexagons with stitched detail around the edge of the hexagon. After you have cut it several times, it allows you to create this great patchwork effect for background on cards. Teamed up with a great sentiment die, you get a perfect card for anyone. A great way of using up you scrape card, in the right colour tone a great card for men.
This time I have completed cut the boat away from the stained glass frame. This allows you to use the die on other projects. By keeping the internal pieces from the die cut boat, that you would normally throw away you can colour them and then insert them back into the boat. The swirly frame is a Crafts 2 die, which makes a great suggestion of waves. Perfect to pop your boat on .
This time I have cut the die and coloured it using Graphmaster marker pens and mated to a white background so the coloured areas stand out. This allows you to create a total different effect to our previous Sail boat card.
This is Polar Bear Pete in his over sized Christmas jumper. Another great released stamp from Woodware for this Christmas quite simply coloured in with Promarkers. Fabulous card for anyone this Christmas.
